But, for some reason, this site just surprised me.
As one commentator put it, this site reminded me of the Folk Art Museum, next to the MOMA in New York City. There's something very folksy about DIY gamer maps in a way I can't describe. Like making your own chessboards and chess pieces.
Also, on a personal note, the images smack of a nostalgia for a simpler time, when computer games just could not match a 13 year old's imagination and some pen and paper. Its not to say that computer games have caught up with our imaginations. I just think our imaginations have melted away that much.
